The inaugural Climate Action, Renewable Energy and Sustainability (Care) forum is set to launch in Dubai this November, aiming to become the MENA region’s leading platform for sustainability investment and climate innovation. Taking place on November 26-27 at Madinat Jumeirah, the event will run alongside the DATE summit, which focuses on Digitisation, AI and Emerging Tech. The forum, organised by Trescon, will bring together regional and global leaders to accelerate the Middle East’s transition to clean energy.

A Hub for Climate Investment

The CARE forum is designed to be an action-oriented platform connecting capital with climate-focused projects, reflecting the billions of dollars the GCC has committed to renewable infrastructure. It will highlight investable opportunities in solar power, hydrogen, green finance, and industrial decarbonisation that align with regional net-zero targets.

“With the GCC committing billions to renewable infrastructure, Care Mena offers a unique, action-oriented platform where capital meets climate ambition,” said Naveen Bharadwaj, group CEO of Trescon. He noted that the series will spotlight opportunities that support both net-zero goals and regional climate action.

Investors have welcomed the initiative. “I’m looking forward to CARE as a platform to uncover investment opportunities in climate tech and renewables,” said Kevin Holliday, CEO of Venturebeam.

Connecting Start-ups with Capital

For climate tech ventures, start-ups, and scale-ups, the forum presents a significant opportunity to secure investments and strategic partnerships. Participants will gain direct access to venture capital firms, institutional investors, family offices, and sovereign funds.

The event is backed by prominent regional investors, including the Royal Group, Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), ARM Holding, Venturesouq, and Plug and Play. Sofia Kostiunina, managing director at 100VP, commented, “From the VC perspective, I see Care as an excellent platform to identify breakthrough opportunities in renewable energy and climate tech.”

Key Programmes and Initiatives

The two-day summit will feature several flagship initiatives designed to foster collaboration and showcase new solutions. Sessions will cover regulatory reform, capital flows, and technology deployment with a focus on commercial viability.

Competitions and Showcases

The ClimateTech World Cup is a global start-up competition that will connect founders with investors and media. Meanwhile, the Care Launchpad will provide a platform for showcasing disruptive applications and research to attract funding and partnerships. A separate international pitch competition, the Care Innovation Programme, will spotlight sustainable innovations led by students.

Recognising Industry Leaders

In partnership with ESG Mena, the Care ESG Awards will celebrate achievements in the sector. Key categories include the “Responsible Investor of the Year” and the “Young Sustainability Pioneer of the Year.”

The forum aims to ensure that conversations lead to tangible commitments. Through investor roundtables, pitch sessions, and partnership forums, it provides a direct line for founders to meet decision-makers, for corporations to observe new green technology, and for investors to access the region’s most promising climate ventures.
