What we do
The Gulf Magazine is an independent news site covering the six GCC states.
We report on companies, courts, energy, sport, and the people who actually sign the cheques. The region does not need another brochure. It needs reporters who will say what happened, what it cost, and who benefits.
We are not a rankings mill. We are not a lifestyle catalogue. If a story only works as praise, we do not run it.
What we cover
- Business and money. Listings, funds, family groups, the quiet transactions.
- Energy. Oil, gas, nuclear, and the bill for everything after oil.
- Tech and work. The build-out, the hires, the gaps.
- People. Operators, not bios dressed up as journalism.
The Sunday Brief
Most of our work is daily. On Sundays we send the Brief: the week's deals, appointments, and arguments, written so you can read it before the first meeting.
How we work
Every story goes through an editor before it goes live. We name sources where we can, label opinion, and correct mistakes in public. The full process, including sourcing standards, conflicts of interest, and corrections, is in the Code of Ethics.
Features are editorial. The editors choose who runs. A published feature carries an editorial fee that covers the work, not the decision. See Get featured. Paid or sponsored work carries a label and is explained on the Advertise page.

We want reporting, not a profile of yourself. Send the news, the documents, and why it matters in the Gulf. If it is an interview, say who will sit and what they will say that is not already on LinkedIn. Write to [email protected]. Founder and executive profiles go through Get featured instead.
