About Us
Who we are, what we publish, and how we work. The editors and standards behind The Gulf Magazine.
What we do
The Gulf Magazine is an independent newsroom covering business, technology, energy, policy, culture, and sport across the GCC. We publish daily reporting and a weekly newsletter, The Sunday Brief, sent every Sunday morning Gulf Standard Time.
Our readers are operators, investors, policy people, and curious locals across Riyadh, Dubai, Doha, Manama, Kuwait City, Muscat, and beyond. We try to be the publication they read first on Sunday and trust to explain what changed during the week.
What we cover
- Business & deals — IPOs, acquisitions, fundraising, and the leadership moves that move markets.
- Tech & startups — founders, funding, and infrastructure across NEOM, Hub71, KAUST, and the wider regional ecosystem.
- Energy — oil, gas, renewables, hydrogen, and the GCC energy transition.
- Policy & markets — regulation, tax, foreign policy, and the rule changes that shape life and business in the Gulf.
- Culture & sport — the people, leagues, and cultural moments defining the region right now.
How we work
Every story we publish goes through editorial review before it goes live. We attribute sources where possible, label opinion clearly, and correct mistakes publicly. For the full process — sourcing standards, conflicts of interest, corrections policy — see our Code of Ethics.
When something is sponsored, branded, or produced in partnership, it carries a label. See the media kit for the formats we run and how we keep editorial and commercial separate.
