Alfardan Exchange and The Royal Mint have showcased the new Britannia gold bullion range at a prestigious event in Doha, reinforcing a partnership aimed at making premium, internationally recognised gold more accessible to investors in Qatar. The launch, held under the patronage of the British Embassy, was attended by His Majesty’s Ambassador to Qatar, Neerav Patel, alongside senior leadership from both organisations, including The Royal Mint CEO Anne Jessopp and Alfardan Exchange President Fahad Hussein Alfardan.

A Partnership Built on Trust

The collaboration highlights a shared commitment to quality and integrity in the region’s financial markets. Fahad Hussein Alfardan stated that the partnership underscores a mutual dedication to excellence. “For over half a century, Alfardan Exchange has been synonymous with trust and innovation in Qatar’s financial and bullion markets,” he said. “Together with The Royal Mint, we are proud to make premium, internationally recognized gold bullion more accessible to investors and collectors in Qatar.”

Bashar Al Waqfi, CEO of Alfardan Exchange, added that the initiative is part of a broader strategy to expand Qatar’s bullion market with world-class products. He emphasised the company’s client-first philosophy, ensuring every offering combines integrity and accessibility. “Partnering with The Royal Mint is a natural extension of that commitment, enabling investors in Qatar to access the new Britannia Gold Bullion range with complete confidence,” Al Waqfi noted.

Introducing the Britannia Bullion Range

The event featured an exhibition of the Britannia gold bars and coins, celebrated for their purity, craftsmanship, and security innovations. The Royal Mint’s latest Britannia bar design incorporates advanced visual features that make it extremely difficult to counterfeit. Each bar prominently displays the iconic figure of Britannia, a symbol of strength and reliability, rendered with exceptional precision.

Anne Jessopp, CEO of The Royal Mint, described Qatar as a key area for growth. “Qatar represents an important and fast-growing market for The Royal Mint,” she explained. “Partnering with Alfardan Exchange allows us to bring over a millennium of British minting heritage and innovation to new audiences.” The interest from international partners is growing as many nations seek deeper investment ties with Qatar.

Showcasing Heritage and Innovation

Guests at the Doha showcase learned about The Royal Mint’s 1,100-year history and viewed exclusive gold exhibits. The Royal Mint is known for a diverse portfolio that includes investment products, collectable coins, and jewellery. One of its most notable recent creations was the Holy Kaaba-engraved gold bullion, designed in collaboration with the Islamic Council of Wales. This type of high-level partnership helps build a unified investment ecosystem connecting different regions.

The evening concluded with a networking reception, celebrating the deepening business connections between Qatar and the United Kingdom. The event successfully highlighted Alfardan Exchange’s position as a foremost bullion distributor in the country and its trusted relationship with one of the world’s most recognised authorities in precious metals.
