The 11th edition of the Pre-owned Boat Show is set to return to Dubai Creek Marina from 31 October to 2 November 2025, showcasing more than 50 yachts and boats with a combined value exceeding Dh200 million. Organised by Viya Marine, the event will bring together local, regional, and international brands under the theme “A Boat for Everyone.”
Showcasing a Diverse Fleet
Visitors will have the opportunity to view a wide collection of pre-owned vessels, ranging in size from 20 to 100 feet. The exhibition, which has been running since 2011, has become a key event in the marine calendar, attracting enthusiasts, investors, and prospective yacht buyers. The theme aims to highlight the show’s focus on providing accessible and affordable ownership options across various budgets.
Abdulla Ali Al Noon, Director of Special Projects at Dubai Golf and the official responsible for Viya Marine, stated that the event reinforces Dubai’s status as a leading international destination for maritime activities. He noted that the theme reflects a commitment to sustainability and circular economy principles by offering value-driven options in the marine sector.
Bolstering Dubai’s Maritime Industry
The event is expected to attract over 5,000 visitors, capitalising on growing regional interest in marine tourism. The UAE currently accounts for approximately 50% of the total yacht and marina market in the Arabian Gulf and the wider Middle East. This strong position is supported by Dubai’s world-class infrastructure, which includes over 22 marinas with a capacity for 4,190 vessels, alongside advanced facilities for maintenance and refitting. These assets have helped Dubai reinforce its global leadership in exhibitions and marine events.
“The Middle East’s recreational boating market is expanding rapidly,” Al Noon said. “This year’s edition will help drive trade and investment in pre-owned vessels while promoting marine tourism across the region.”
Supporting Market Growth and Sustainability
Industry forecasts predict the Middle East’s recreational boating market will reach $2.95 billion by 2027, growing at an annual rate of 4.9%. This expansion is driven by new infrastructure, rising wealth, and a flourishing marine tourism sector, which aligns with broader trends that see the GCC poised to capture a share of the global sports tourism market.
The show also aligns with the Dubai Industrial Strategy 2030 by encouraging the reuse and resale of boats. This approach helps reduce the need for new vessel production and promotes a circular economy.
A Comprehensive Experience for Buyers
Beyond the vessels on display, the event will feature a retail village and host specialists in finance, insurance, maintenance, and marine equipment. This provides a comprehensive support system for buyers, particularly those new to boat ownership. Visitors can also learn about modern marine systems, including electric and hybrid propulsion and smart navigation tools.
Sponsored by DexNet, the show will be open on 31 October from 4pm to 9pm, and on 1 and 2 November from 3pm to 9pm, offering a blend of business, leisure, and investment opportunities.
