The Lusail International Circuit (LIC) has issued comprehensive guidelines for spectators attending the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2025. Scheduled for 28 to 30 November, the penultimate race of the season will combine high-speed action under the circuit’s floodlights with a lineup of international music acts. Organisers are promoting a digital-first approach to ensure a smooth experience for all attendees.

Digital Access and Entry Protocols

Fans are strongly encouraged to download the official LIC App, which will serve as the primary tool for the race weekend. The app provides mobile ticket access, aligning with the circuit’s sustainability goal of paperless entry. It also features an immersive 3D map to help spectators navigate the venue, locate parking, find their seats, and access amenities. This digital focus is supported by Qatar’s high global mobile speed ranking, ensuring reliable connectivity for attendees.

Circuit gates will open at 12 pm on Friday and Sunday, with a slightly later opening time of 1:30 pm on Saturday. While the venue will stay open for post-race concerts, the Fan Zone is set to close shortly after the track action concludes. All attendees must present a valid ID and their QR code ticket for entry. Security measures are strict, and once a spectator leaves the venue perimeter, re-entry will not be permitted.

Getting to the Lusail Circuit

The Doha Metro is the recommended mode of transport for the event. All F1 ticket holders can redeem a complimentary 3-Day Pass for unlimited travel on both the Metro and the Lusail Tram networks. Services will be extended throughout the weekend. From the Lusail QNB Station, free electric shuttle buses will transport fans directly to the circuit gates.

For those arriving by car, the LIC App offers real-time guidance to designated parking zones. Dedicated drop-off and pick-up points will also be available for ride-sharing services such as Uber and Karwa.

Entertainment Beyond the Racetrack

The event features a star-studded concert lineup, with performances beginning approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of racing each day. British singer Seal will perform on Friday, followed by Algerian music legend Cheb Khaled on Saturday. Global rock icons Metallica will close the weekend with a concert on Sunday evening.

The revamped Fan Zone will host the Middle East debut of the LEGO “Build The Thrill” experience. It will also feature cultural heritage displays and F1 activations, including Sim Racing simulators. In a move towards greater inclusivity, the venue now includes a new Sensory Room for guests who may have sensory sensitivities. The scale of the event builds on the city’s reputation for hosting major international fixtures, including the recent UFC Fight Night in Doha.

Practical Tips for Racegoers

With cooler evening temperatures expected in November, attendees are advised to dress in layers and wear comfortable footwear. The circuit operates as a largely cashless environment, making bank cards essential for purchases. Reinforcing its commitment to sustainability, the LIC is powered by a large rooftop solar array and has minimised the use of single-use plastics. Free drinking water stations will be available throughout the venue for all spectators.
