Global Village is set to launch its 30th season on 15 October with a host of new attractions and significant upgrades across the park. Visitors can expect an interactive walk-through experience, redesigned entertainment venues, and expanded dining areas.
New Attractions and Experiences
Among the new features is the Dragon Kingdom, an immersive attraction with 11 themed rooms. Guests will navigate the mythical world of Blackstone Hollow, solving puzzles to help a dragon named Ignis recover his lost power. Each room presents a unique atmosphere, from enchanted forests to fiery caverns.
Another addition is the Gardens of the World, an exotic garden featuring floral arrangements and replicas of global landmarks. Located between the Egypt and Iran pavilions, the area is designed for leisurely walks and photo opportunities. To encourage exploration, special Season 30 passports will be available for visitors to collect stamps at each pavilion.
Venue and Infrastructure Upgrades
The park’s infrastructure is also receiving a major overhaul. The Main Stage area is undergoing a comprehensive redesign to increase guest capacity and support more spectacular live performances. Nearby, the iconic Dragon Lake is being upgraded with a new, higher-clarity screen, replacing the current one which holds a Guinness World Record as the largest underwater display screen. The dragon at the centre of the lake will also feature new fire effects.
To improve visitor flow, new screens will be installed at the front gates and LED directional signage will be placed throughout the park to help visitors find their way around the destination with ease. New arches will be erected at the Sharjah and Abu Dhabi entrances, and the Sharjah Tunnel will feature a vibrant new design. The overall landscaping inside and around the venue is also being refreshed.
Redesigned Culinary and Retail Areas
Several popular food and shopping streets are being expanded and rebranded. Fiesta Street will be enlarged to accommodate more of the destination’s 200 dining options. The Railway Market has been renamed the Dessert District, blending nostalgic charm with modern aesthetics. The Indian Chaat Bazaar will also debut a new theme and design.
Additionally, Happiness Street will receive a visual update with a new canopy. The popular Road of Asia is returning as Asia Boulevard, focusing on the continent’s diverse culinary traditions and cultural heritage. These changes are part of a wider effort to update the visitor experience, and stunning photos show the amazing changes from previous seasons.
With these extensive additions and improvements, Global Village is preparing to welcome guests for what is anticipated to be a landmark 30th season.
