Dubai’s Global Village attracts millions of visitors each season with its international pavilions, diverse food, and carnival atmosphere. While social media is filled with highlights of the park’s attractions, many guests may be unaware of specific entry rules designed to ensure a safe and family-friendly experience.

Before planning a visit, it is useful to review the park’s guidelines to avoid any surprises at the gate.

Prohibited Items

Guests are not permitted to bring their own food and drinks into the park. Any snacks or beverages purchased outside must be consumed before entry. Similarly, travel luggage and large suitcases are not allowed inside. All bags are subject to inspection and may be passed through X-ray scanners for security.

The park also restricts the use of personal wheeled devices. Items such as roller skates, skateboards, bicycles, and scooters are not permitted. Pets are also prohibited, so visitors should leave their animals at home.

Dress Code and Conduct

A respectful dress code is in effect for all visitors. Clothing must cover the torso, shoulders, and knees. This applies to both men and women.

In line with local cultural norms, public displays of affection, including hugging and kissing, are not permitted. While the park features pavilions from around the world, the only national flag that can be openly displayed is that of the UAE. Visitors carrying other flags may be asked to store them away.

Photography and Filming

Taking photos and videos for personal use is allowed throughout the park. However, a permit is required for any commercial or professional media activities. This includes work by media outlets, social media influencers, production companies, or students completing academic projects. An application form for a media permit can be found on the Global Village website.

Familiarising yourself with these rules can help ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit to one of Dubai’s most popular seasonal destinations.
