Dubai Police showcased a dozen new innovations powered by artificial intelligence and advanced technologies at the recent Gitex Global 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The latest solutions, from smart systems to intelligent robots, are designed to streamline operations, improve community safety, and make police services more accessible to the public.

Automating Operations for Greater Efficiency

A key highlight was the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) system, which uses software ‘bots’ to handle repetitive digital tasks such as data entry, report generation, and transaction processing. These bots operate around the clock, replicating human interaction with digital systems to improve speed and accuracy while reducing the potential for error. The system allows police employees to concentrate on more strategic and high-value responsibilities.

Another significant technology on display was the Drone Box System. This platform supports rapid response operations by dispatching drones directly to emergency sites. The drones transmit real-time data to the Command and Control Centre, helping to reduce response times in both criminal and traffic-related incidents.

Improving Public Access to Police Services

Dubai Police also promoted its award-winning Smart Police Stations (SPS), a pioneering model for digital policing. The self-service stations allow the public to access over 40 key services at any time without human intervention, including filing reports, paying fines, and requesting certificates. The stations also provide dedicated services for people of determination. This focus on digital service delivery aligns with broader government efforts, such as the recent tech partnership to boost digital justice efficiency at the Dubai Rental Disputes Center.

Complementing the physical stations is the newly redesigned Dubai Police website. It features a more intuitive interface, secure payment options, and “Amina,” an AI-powered virtual assistant that guides users through online services. The force’s Smart App, available in seven languages, remains a vital tool for residents, offering emergency SOS services, accident reporting, and protection requests for women and children.

Community Engagement and Cybersecurity

To engage younger residents, Dubai Police organises its eSports Tournament several times a year. The initiative raises awareness about important digital safety issues, including cyberbullying, online fraud, and responsible gaming habits that support mental well-being.

Furthering its cybersecurity efforts, the force introduced the eCrime Hub platform. Available in Arabic and English, this interactive space educates the public on how to avoid phishing scams, recognise fraudulent links, and report cybercrimes effectively. Visitors also learned about the upcoming UAE SWAT Challenge, scheduled for 7-11 February 2026. The event will bring elite tactical teams from around the world to compete and share best practices in operational readiness.
