HE Lt. Gen. (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Mannai, Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces, recently met with Lt. Gen. Issa Saif bin Ablan Al-Mazrouei, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, during a visit to Qatar. The meeting, which included a delegation from the UAE, focused on a range of mutual interests, particularly in the realm of military cooperation. Both sides discussed how to further strengthen their bilateral military relations and reviewed the latest regional and international security developments.
The two leaders also examined key issues in military and security cooperation between the two countries. Their talks highlighted the ongoing efforts to solidify their defence ties amidst evolving geopolitical challenges. The discussions were framed within the context of broader regional stability, an area where both Qatar and the UAE continue to work closely together, as seen in previous agreements aimed at fostering security and peace.
At the conclusion of the visit, HE Lt. Gen. Al-Mannai expressed his gratitude to Lt. Gen. Al-Mazrouei for his visit and emphasised the deep, brotherly, and exceptional relationship between the two countries. The meeting was attended by senior military officials from both sides, including Maj. Gen. (Eng./Air) Mohammed Mubarak Al-Shahwani and Brig. (Eng./Navy) Salem Mohammed Al-Roumi. Their presence underscored the importance of continued collaboration and coordination in strengthening the defence capabilities of both nations.
