The Riyadh leg of Filipino pop group SB19’s world tour has been cancelled just two days before the scheduled performance. Organisers confirmed the decision on Tuesday, citing “unforeseen circumstances” for scrapping the show.

The five-member group, consisting of Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin, was set to perform on Wednesday, 9 October, at the Intercontinental Durrat Al Riyadh.

In a social media post, organiser 1Z Entertainment expressed its regret over the last-minute change. “Unforeseen circumstances have led us, together with our partners and producers, to make this difficult decision,” the statement read, acknowledging the disappointment of the group’s fanbase, known as A’TIN.

The cancellation is a significant disruption to the band’s extensive ‘Simula at Wakas’ world tour. The tour, which began in May with two sold-out concerts in Bulacan, Philippines, has included stops in Taipei, Honolulu, and several cities across the United States and Canada, reflecting the growing international profile of P-pop.

Dubai Show to Proceed

Despite the setback in Saudi Arabia, the group’s concert in Dubai is expected to go ahead as planned. SB19 is scheduled to perform at the Coca-Cola Arena on Saturday, 11 October, in an event promoted by Live Nation Middle East as a one-night-only show.

1Z Entertainment has assured fans who purchased tickets for the Riyadh concert that they will receive a full refund to their original payment method. However, the news offers little comfort to those who had already arranged travel and accommodation for the event.
