Parkin has entered into a strategic partnership with Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) aimed at enhancing sustainable urban mobility and improving taxi operations in Dubai. The collaboration combines both companies’ strengths in parking management and transport services, with a focus on integrating technology and data-driven solutions to optimise operations, boost driver welfare, and elevate the customer experience.

New Infrastructure for Drivers

As part of the agreement, Parkin will dedicate parking spaces for taxis in high-demand areas, including popular venues that regularly host large events and exhibitions. These spaces aim to alleviate congestion while ensuring taxi drivers have easy access to essential parking. In addition, designated rest zones within parking areas will be introduced to enhance driver comfort, providing a more supportive environment for those working long hours.

Focus on Clean Mobility

The partnership is also geared towards accelerating Dubai’s shift to cleaner mobility. Parkin will install rapid electric vehicle (EV) chargers at key locations, facilitating quicker turnaround times for Dubai Taxi’s growing fleet of hybrid and electric vehicles. This move aligns with Dubai’s ambitions to reduce emissions and promote the use of sustainable transport options.

Both companies will also share data related to traffic, parking, and charging demand. By analysing these patterns, they aim to better optimise fleet distribution and improve response times across the city. This collaborative data-driven approach is expected to improve both operational efficiency and service delivery.

Paving the Way for Smart Mobility

In addition to these infrastructure upgrades, the partnership lays the groundwork for joint investments in smart mobility technologies. These efforts will support Dubai’s vision of a fully integrated, efficient, and sustainable transport system. As part of the agreement, DTC will incorporate Parkin’s Business Wallet system to streamline parking payments across its fleet, simplifying financial operations and reducing administrative costs.

Statement from Parkin’s CEO

Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, expressed that this partnership highlights the company’s commitment to Dubai’s smart city and sustainability goals. “By partnering with Dubai Taxi Company, we are combining expertise in parking operations and mobility services to introduce integrated solutions that support the city’s growing demand for efficient, sustainable, and technology-enabled transport,” said Al Ali. “Together, we aim to set new benchmarks for customer experience, operational efficiency, and smart mobility in Dubai.”

Dubai Taxi’s Commitment to Innovation

Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, also praised the collaboration, noting its focus on innovation and sustainability. “Integrating advanced parking and charging infrastructure with our expanding fleet operations enhances driver welfare, operational efficiency, and customer convenience,” Alfalasi said. “This partnership reinforces our commitment to supporting Dubai’s smart mobility and sustainability goals.”

This agreement aligns with Dubai’s long-term strategy to build a low-emission, connected transport network, expand smart infrastructure, and improve urban livability through public-private collaborations. It marks a significant step forward in creating a more efficient, sustainable transport ecosystem, where technology plays a central role in improving the experience for both drivers and passengers.
