Mwani Qatar handled more than 1.11 million shipping containers in the first nine months of 2025, an increase of approximately 2 percent compared to the same period in the previous year. The figures highlight the continued growth in activity across the nation’s commercial ports.
In a performance update, the port authority confirmed that 2,276 vessels called at Qatar’s ports between January and September.
Diverse Cargo Volumes
Beyond container traffic, the ports managed a wide range of goods essential to the national economy. This included the handling of over 1.34 million tonnes of general and bulk cargo.
Additionally, terminals processed 488,069 tonnes of building materials, 91,266 vehicles and equipment units, and 403,868 heads of livestock.
These results underscore the ports’ role in facilitating trade and supporting Qatar’s supply chains across various sectors.
