A unified delegation of 30 Russian companies is showcasing a range of green technologies at the Wetex exhibition in Dubai, presented under the national brand ‘Made in Russia’. The event, supported by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), brings together global figures in sustainability and infrastructure.
The Russian contingent includes firms certified for their reliability, offering solutions in sectors from clean energy and water purification to agricultural innovation and waste recycling. Their participation follows a successful showing in 2024, where their pavilion attracted high-level interest.
Growing Trade and Partnership
The presence of the delegation highlights the strengthening economic relationship between Russia and the UAE. Trade turnover between the two nations reached $11.5 billion in 2024, an increase of nearly five per cent from the previous year. This growth accelerated in the first quarter of 2025, which saw a 76 per cent rise, reflecting closer ties in energy and food security.
The ‘Made in Russia’ brand serves as a certification of quality, indicating that products have passed a strict evaluation process. The verification covers production, quality control, delivery, and environmental standards, providing a mark of reliability for importers in the UAE.
Technology on Display
At Wetex 2025, the Russian exposition is focused on four main areas:
- Energy: Technologies include wind power, energy-saving systems, smart switchgear, and automation equipment for industrial facilities.
- Water Treatment: Companies are presenting high-efficiency filtration, reverse osmosis, and multi-stage systems designed for municipal and industrial use.
- Waste Management: Solutions feature artificial intelligence, including reverse vending machines and integrated platforms for recycling.
- Agriculture and Infrastructure: Innovations include indoor farming technology, fleet tracking systems, heat-resistant insulation, and advanced fuel systems.
Prominent participants include Akvatoriya LLC, a specialist in water filtration; Aquabright LLC, which exports filters to over 20 countries; and Emerald Ecotechnologies, known for its electrochemical disinfection systems.
According to Najibullo Jabbori, Chief Representative of the ‘Made in Russia’ brand, the goal is to demonstrate the competitiveness of Russian companies and their commitment to sustainable development. “We are confident that the ‘Made in Russia’ exposition will lay the foundation for new partnerships with businesses and government institutions in the UAE and across the Middle East,” he stated, adding that the aim is to “shape an environmentally responsible and innovative future together.”
