Global Village kicked off its 30th season on October 15, 2025, with a spectacular opening that included fireworks, a grand parade, and a dazzling drone show. This year marks the 20th anniversary since Global Village moved to Dubailand, solidifying its position as a key cultural and entertainment hub in Dubai. The season will run until May 10, 2026, promising visitors an unforgettable experience across its 30 pavilions, representing more than 90 cultures.

A Festival of Cultures

Global Village has always been a celebration of global cultures, and this season is no exception. From the moment visitors step through the gates, they are greeted by vibrant performances, international cuisine, and an array of attractions. The newly launched Carnaval is a highlight, featuring exciting rides and games that appeal to all ages. The festive atmosphere is amplified by regular drone light shows, which light up the skies at 9 pm, creating a magical spectacle.

“We’ve been coming here for over 14 years,” said Jothilingam, a regular visitor. “Global Village has grown so much since I first visited. It used to be very simple with just a canal, but now it’s a whole experience.” For Jothilingam and his family, a visit to Global Village is a ritual, with the family visiting at least four times a year. He suggests a budget of Dh500 for a family of four to fully enjoy the day, sampling food and enjoying the cultural displays.

A World of Food and Attractions

Global Village’s 30th season introduces some exciting new features, including colourful dessert lanes and new attractions for children. The Kid Zone, which includes rides like the Merry Go Round and Bumper Cars, is sure to keep younger visitors entertained. Parents can also accompany younger children on certain rides if they don’t meet the height requirement, ensuring that the entire family can enjoy the experience.

The pavilions, such as those from Iran, Yemen, and India, continue to be a big draw. Visitors like Salman, who operates an Indian street food stall, have seen the evolution of the Indian pavilion over the years. “This year, the elephant and king designs on the outside are incredible,” he said. His stall serves a variety of popular snacks, including matka chai, a customer favourite. Meanwhile, the Yemeni pavilion continues to be a top destination for honey lovers, with Ahmed and Moqbal sharing their passion for the product they’ve sold for over a decade.

An Easy Visit for All

With a variety of rental options available on-site, including trolleys, wheelchairs, and baby carts, Global Village aims to ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit for everyone. Rentals range from Dh15 for a standard wheelchair to Dh250 for an all-day rental.

For those eager to skip the queues, online ticket booking is available, with prices set at Dh25 from Sunday to Thursday (except public holidays), and Dh30 on weekends. This season, visitors can also take advantage of free parking in selected zones, or use special RTA bus routes designed for the event.

As visitors flood in, Dmitry Lebedev, returning with his family for the second time, shared his excitement. “I loved the Iran pavilion on my first visit. It was just beautiful, and I can’t wait to see the performances tonight,” he said. Other visitors, like Pooja Nalinkumar, are just as thrilled about the opening night festivities, including the fireworks and skydiving performances.

Looking Ahead to More Celebrations

The 30th season of Global Village is not just about entertainment; it’s a chance to witness the evolution of one of Dubai’s most iconic attractions. CEO Fernando Eiroa and his team continue to bring the magic of Global Village to life, ensuring there’s always something new and exciting to experience. As the season unfolds, more surprises and cultural celebrations are sure to keep guests returning time and time again.

With its diverse mix of food, culture, and entertainment, Global Village remains a must-visit destination for families, tourists, and residents alike. Visitors can look forward to creating lasting memories while exploring the vibrant pavilions and enjoying the many attractions that make this multicultural haven unique.
