Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced a new intercity bus route connecting the emirate with Abu Dhabi. The service, operated in partnership with Capital Express, aims to improve public transport links between the two cities.
Route and Fare Details
The new bus service runs from Al Quoz Bus Station in Dubai to the MBZ Bus Station in Abu Dhabi. A one-way ticket for the journey is priced at Dh25 per person.
Passengers have multiple payment options, including Dubai’s nol card system, contactless bank cards, and cash. This flexibility is designed to accommodate both regular commuters and occasional travellers.
Wider Transport Expansion
The launch is part of a broader expansion of the RTA’s public transport network. In late August, the authority announced the introduction of five new bus routes and rerouted several existing services to cater to growing passenger demand across the emirate.
Earlier in May, the RTA also launched the E308 bus service between Dubai and Sharjah. This route connects the Stadium Bus Station in Dubai with Al Jubail Bus Station in Sharjah for a fare of Dh12.
The RTA operates a fleet of over 250 intercity buses. To improve the passenger experience, all buses are equipped with free Wi-Fi, allowing commuters to stay connected during their journey.
