Dubai’s South Asian music event, SOBO, will host a festival on 5 October to mark its third anniversary. The celebration will take place at IRIS Dubai in Meydan from 2 pm and is set to be headlined by Indian music artist Ritviz, known for his popular tracks ‘Udd Gaye’ and ‘Liggi’.

He will perform alongside SOBO’s resident DJs Nitesh, Gautam, and Harry, providing a full afternoon of music and entertainment. The festival will also feature live performances and pop-up activations, all designed to reflect Dubai’s vibrant cultural mix. Organisers anticipate an attendance of over 2,000 people.

A Cultural Celebration

Since its launch, SOBO has grown from a weekly brunch into a notable experience for Dubai’s South Asian community, focusing on music, culture, and social connection. This anniversary event aims to bring together the most successful elements of its journey into a single, large-scale celebration at one of the city’s most recognised venues.

“SOBO has always been about more than music; it’s about building a community around shared culture and unforgettable moments,” said Kanika Bhatia, Co-Founder of SOBO. She explained that the festival format was chosen to acknowledge the support the event has received over the past three years. “This anniversary marks a new chapter for us, and celebrating it as a festival at IRIS felt like the perfect way to thank our audience,” Bhatia added.

Entry tickets for the event are priced from Dh150, with table bookings available starting from Dh1,500. Tickets can be purchased from the official SOBO website.
