The 10th edition of Hospitality Qatar opened on October 28 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC), marking a decade of significant development in the nation’s tourism and hospitality sectors. The event, which runs until October 30, was inaugurated by Qatar Tourism chairman HE Saad bin Ali al-Kharji, alongside other dignitaries and ambassadors, highlighting the industry’s strategic importance.

A Decade of Growth and Global Participation

This milestone anniversary celebrates Qatar’s emergence as a leading regional tourism hub, a key objective of the Qatar National Vision 2030. Organised by IFP Qatar, the exhibition has attracted around 150 exhibitors from 20 countries, with major contingents from China, Italy, the UAE, Egypt, Russia, and the Netherlands, reflecting strong international interest in the Qatari market.

Omar Abdulrahman al-Jaber, Head of Tourism Development at Qatar Tourism, stated that Hospitality Qatar has become a primary platform for uniting local and international partners. He noted that it encourages investment and supports excellence across the industry, from hotels and restaurants to service innovation. Al-Jaber added that this commitment to partnership and empowering national talent reinforces Qatar’s position as a regional leader.

Fostering Business and Showcasing Innovation

The three-day expo is filled with events designed to create business connections and share expertise. Haya Bayan, director of Commercial Affairs and Operations at IFP Qatar, described the 10th edition as a “significant milestone” that serves as a benchmark for the latest trends in interior design, sustainability, technology, and food and beverages.

Networking and Culinary Excellence

A dedicated B2B Matchmaking platform allows participants to expand their networks and secure business agreements. A major highlight is the series of live cooking competitions, where 400 chefs from 35 hotels and restaurants will showcase their creativity and skill before a panel of expert judges.

Industry Insights and Professional Development

Conference sessions will address critical industry topics across four main themes: the future of luxury hospitality, food innovation, digital marketing, and smart technology. Additionally, certified workshops will cover luxury service excellence, food safety, and digital strategies, including the use of AI and branding. These sessions align with a broader national focus on development, similar to the upcoming Qatar Investment & Innovation Conference, which also prioritises future-focused industries.

Recognising Industry Leaders

The event will conclude with an awards ceremony on October 30. The Ambassador of Excellence Awards will recognise influential figures in the industry, while the talabat Choice Awards will celebrate top performers. The delivery service talabat is also participating as a Gold Sponsor for the anniversary edition.

Hospitality Qatar 2025 provides a comprehensive procurement hub covering every aspect of the sector, from luxury tourism to smart technology. The event takes place as Qatar experiences unprecedented tourism growth, driven by major investments in world-class facilities and luxury infrastructure.
