The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) has announced plans to launch the “Emirati Work Package for the Private Sector” by the end of 2025. The initiative aims to provide Emiratis with a seamless, all-encompassing digital platform for managing their employment journey in the private sector. This marks a significant shift in how Emiratis engage with private sector employment, consolidating various services under one integrated system that simplifies and accelerates hiring processes.
Unified Digital Platform for Emirati Employment
The new “Emirati Work Package” will combine federal, local, and private sector entities into a unified digital ecosystem. It offers a fully integrated system for managing all aspects of private sector employment, from job applications to work permits. Emiratis will no longer need to visit multiple platforms or interact with different authorities for services such as health insurance or pension fund registration. Instead, all these processes will be merged into a single digital pathway, streamlining the application process and saving time.
Aligning with UAE’s Zero Bureaucracy Initiative
MoHRE’s initiative aligns with the UAE government’s Zero Bureaucracy strategy, which aims to eliminate unnecessary administrative hurdles and improve government efficiency. The goal is to provide user-centred services that empower citizens to participate more easily in the private sector workforce. This is part of the government’s broader plan to enhance digital service delivery and reduce complexity across all employment-related procedures.
Features of the Emirati Work Package
The platform’s most notable feature is its all-in-one service experience. It allows Emiratis to apply for jobs, modify, renew, or even cancel applications from a single interface. Importantly, the digital verification of documents eliminates the need for multiple submissions, ensuring faster processing times and greater efficiency. Through the unified platform, citizens will also benefit from artificial intelligence tools that improve service quality and performance, a key component of MoHRE’s digital transformation strategy.
A Digital Milestone for UAE Employment Services
Expected to be operational by the end of 2025, the “Emirati Work Package for the Private Sector” marks a significant milestone in the UAE’s push to digitalise government services. By reducing bureaucracy and integrating digital platforms, the system aims to create a more efficient employment process, benefiting both Emiratis and employers. As part of the broader “Work Package” initiative, the MoHRE has already introduced a similar platform for residents and domestic workers, further demonstrating the government’s commitment to simplifying administrative procedures and enhancing service delivery.
Expanding the Work Package to Other Sectors
The “Work Package” for residents and domestic workers is already live, offering services such as residency issuance, renewal, and medical examinations. Through the workinuae.ae platform, users can complete all steps of their application journey digitally, including signing employment contracts and receiving residency permits. This service reflects the government’s vision for a simplified, digital-first experience, setting the stage for future improvements in the nation’s employment ecosystem.
As MoHRE continues to innovate, the “Emirati Work Package” promises to be a game-changer in how citizens engage with the private sector. By reducing bureaucratic hurdles and improving the efficiency of public services, it will contribute to the UAE’s ongoing digital transformation and its competitiveness as a leading global business destination.
