South Africa’s Test squad has arrived in Lahore ahead of a two-match series against Pakistan, which begins on 12 October. The tour marks the start of the 2025-27 ICC World Test Championship cycle for both nations.
The South African team will use the coming days to train and adjust to local conditions before the first Test.
Series Itinerary
The red-ball series begins at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, with the first Test scheduled from 12 to 16 October. The teams will then travel to Rawalpindi for the second Test, which will be played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium from 20 to 24 October.
Following the Test matches, the tour will continue with a white-ball leg, consisting of three T20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals between 28 October and 8 November. Squads for the limited-overs formats will be announced at a later date.
For Pakistan, the series offers a chance to reset after a difficult previous World Test Championship campaign, where they finished last after losing nine of their 14 matches. South Africa, in contrast, will be looking to begin a strong defence of their title with a successful start away from home.
