Saudi fashion is growing faster than the places to find it. Designers sell through social accounts. Shoppers move between apps. There is no single place to discover the brands, products and fashion movements emerging across the market.

Lubna Alsultan and Lamia al Sultan built LBS (Local Brand Search) to make that market searchable. Built first around the abaya market, LBS is a fashion search and discovery platform bringing local brands, products and editorial discovery into one place. Since launch, search, save and shop patterns have also given the founders a live view of how Saudi fashion is evolving: which designers are being discovered, which styles are moving, and which regional terms shoppers actually use.

But LBS is also beginning to document the fashion language developing around it. Through the Saudi Fashion Dictionary, the platform records regional fashion terminology, while its editorial team identifies and names emerging trends as they appear across designers and collections. The aim is to build an ecosystem that helps shoppers navigate local fashion while giving designers greater visibility within a market that is becoming increasingly difficult to navigate.

The two co-founders built the platform end to end, from its growing catalogue and editorial framework to its search and discovery tools. Six months in, the index already includes brands from across the Gulf, with regional expansion becoming part of the next stage of growth. The startup remains early, but the founders are building toward something much larger: a searchable record of regional fashion and the data to understand how it is evolving.

If local fashion is hard to find, the market cannot grow. LBS is building the infrastructure to make it discoverable.
