Flaring cuts and sour gas compression dominate the desk of Elsayed Amer, an independent petroleum engineer in Dammam who spent fourteen years tuning mature fields for Saudi Aramco and ADNOC across the Gulf.
Amer logged 2,000 hours of technical training across six countries after managing wellhead compression projects in Al Khobar. In the field, he commissioned early production units and paired mobile compressors with thermoplastic pipe to capture vented gas at Bab and Haradh.
Sour, high-pressure reservoirs test equipment integrity under strict zero-flaring rules. Amer is now seeking a field operations management role in Saudi Arabia.
