Ahmed Hamza runs HPS Aviation out of Abu Dhabi, designing a hydrogen-powered flying vehicle called CROW. His nine-person team promises vertical flight, a 1,500-kilometre range, and speeds reaching 500 kilometres an hour.
Hamza, a former missile systems engineer for the Egyptian armed forces, founded the Abu Dhabi startup in 2025. The company is building its Humming Propulsion System to lift passenger craft without tilting rotor assemblies.
